OUR FAMILY’S KOPITIAM

A taste of Klang since 1956.

Our founder, Foo Hee Hong, came from Hainan and worked as a chef for a British district officer before establishing Choon Guan. The business grew around the familiar pleasures of a Hainanese coffee shop: coffee, toast and a meal shared at the table.

Today, David Kan and the third generation carry that story forward through two Klang outlets. In 2026, we mark 70 years since the business began.
